Reconnecting to Nature
Nature Quest • Norway
June 21-28th, 2017
This is the first opportunity to experience a Nature Quest Retreat with John P. Milton in the wilderness of Norway. The retreat will take place in the mountain regions near the city of Stavanger, where you find extraordinarily powerful and beautiful sites with a variation from softer green highland meadows with mountain birch woods, to rocky mountains with lakes, sparkling streams and grand views.
John is a renowned pioneering ecologist, spiritual teacher, meditation master, vision quest leader and shaman. Some may know him from the vision quest described in the book Presence: Human Purpose and the Field of the Future (Peter Senge, Otto Scharmer, Joseph Jaworsky, Betty Sue Flowers).
John provides an interfaith, universal approach to reconnecting with yourself and the world around you through exploring aspects of your Outer Nature, Inner Nature and True Nature. He teaches from a deep realization of Daoist mind-body practices and energetically based forms of Qi Gong and Tai Chi. These are sensory-based pathways of cultivating universal wisdom, the opening of the heart, and addressing universal love.
This retreat gives participants the opportunity to escape the daily distractions and trappings of everyday life, and cultivate life force through the union of relaxation and presence. Absorb the healing energy of Nature through intention, presence and relaxation to purify emotional and energetic blockages, and renew your mind and body.
Arrival on Wednesday, June 21th at 12 pm (General introduction, checking in, light meal, finding campsites) - Departure on Wednesday, June 28th at 4 pm.
The seven day program begins with 1.5 days of Awareness Training with John P. Milton at our Base Camp (cabin), followed by 4-days and 4-nights AllOne Time solo retreat in Nature, where you can practice the techniques, exercises and rituals introduced. The solo retreat is followed by 2 days of Reintegration and ‘re-entry practices’ at Base Camp. The program will be taught in English.
All seven nights will be spent on one’s own site in Nature. Participants are required to bring a tent and practical clothes suited for camping outside for a week. Fasting or eating lightly throughout the retreat is recommended. If you choose to eat during your AllOne time, you need to bring your own snacks, energy bars and fruits, soups etc. Further practical information will follow in participant’s letter of registration.
During the program, all participants are, for safety reasons, coupled with a ’buddy’, with whom there will be no direct contact during the solo but you will use a remote check-in system to make sure you’re both OK.
