12 Day Sacred Passage
Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica
January 19th - 30th, 2019
Yearning to reconnect with the Earth, feel her sand beneath your feet and the warmth of the sun on your back? Costa Rica beckons you! This January, we have the perfect opportunity for you to shed your winter armor and blossom into your true Nature.
Nurture your Spirit & sense of adventure January 19th - 30th!
This Winter, we invite you on a journey of exploration, self discovery, and deep ecological communion in one of the most pristine and untouched rainforests in Central America; the Osa Peninsula.
The Osa Peninsula was noted by National Geographic as the most biologically intense ecosystem in the world, and is home to at least half of all species in Costa Rica. Our Sacred Passage will be held on the edge of the 42,000 hectare Corcovado National Park, which is home to almost 400 species of birds, 140 species of mammals, 116 species of amphibians and reptiles, over 500 species of trees, and more than 6,000 species of insects. Just recently, the Corcovado National Park in the Osa has even been nominated as the #1 National Park in the World!
Surrounded by the transporting beauty of your environment, John P. Milton provides five days of Awareness Training to prepare you for your solitary AllOne time, and to help you reintegrate upon your return. The core of these teachings are based on the WoN Twelve Guiding Principles of Natural Liberation, which are essentialized spiritual teachings inspired by many Earth-connected lineages.
In the 12 day Sacred Passage you will have the opportunity to experience:
- A deep and heartfelt connection to the earth
- Relaxation of your body and mind
- Emotional transformation
- Awareness of your true Nature and purpose in this life
- Awareness practices you can utilize for a lifetime
- Peace of mind
- Inspiration and creativity
- Teachings from nature
This program will teach you how to come into a deep state of relaxation while simultaneously cultivating a profound experience of Presence. Each morning we will begin our day practicing Qi Gong and Gaia Flow, which will support the release of blockages stored within your mind and body and bring you into a unified state with all that surrounds you. We will also give you the tools to strengthen and refine your senses through training in the 9 Perceptual Fields of Awareness and in deepening the process of experiential connection. Other teachings may include various shamanic techniques, emotional transformation practices, wilderness skills, overtoning, practices for cultivating Nature's Elements that are unique to Way of Nature, the Eleven Directions Ceremony, and ways to make a heart connection to other species.
These methods from the Awareness Training portion of your Sacred Passage retreat will come into play during your wilderness solo, known as AllOne time. The depth of integration between inner and outer Nature that can be achieved is solely up to your commitment and openness to the experience.
Your safety and well-being is of our utmost concern; in fact, participating in a Passage is as safe as going on a camping trip. A uniquely designed "buddy system" with daily checkpoints allows you, your fellow Passagers, and your Guide to verify the safety of everyone involved, while still honoring your solitude. A whistle call brings an adjoining Passager into your site within a few minutes. . We also provide walkie talkies to participants, where they can make a quick call to Jennifer, Luna Lodge, or their buddy, as an extra precautionary measure in case of an emergency. We also provide walkie talkies to participants, where they can make a quick call to Jennifer, Luna Lodge, or their buddy, as an extra precautionary measure in case of an emergency.
While you're in your AllOne time, electronics and campfires are not permitted. Also, reading and writing are limited to your notes from Awareness Training and the book Sky Above, Earth Below by John P. Milton. Simplification during your AllOne time is essential. Eliminating the trappings of everyday life unleashes your true essence, allowing the Qi energy you gather from Gaia to permeate your body without being drained.
You may eat simple, preferably organic, foods of your preference and enjoy the comforts of your own tent. Food supplies for the AllOne portion of your Sacred Passage should be purchased at Luna Lodge and are not included in the price of the retreat. You will receive a comprehensive packing list and food suggestions after registration.
Lodging for the training portion of the retreat will take place at Luna Lodge, nominated as one of the top eco-lodges in Costa Rica by Lonely Planet. This secluded eco-lodge is set in the pristine and captivating Osa Peninsula near Corcovado National Park in southwestern Costa Rica. Luna Lodge was constructed by Costa Rican natives, prioritizing conservation and preservation of the rainforest. The lodge has been developed with creative initiative and commitment to the ideals of educating visitors to be environmentally and culturally sensitive.
Whether hiking with the possibility of encountering rare wildlife, birdwatching, practicing yoga, or enjoying a therapuetic massage in our Spa Retreat, Luna Lodge is truly a unique experience not found elsewhere!
The teacher for this Costa Rica Sacred Passage will be Way of Nature founder, John P. Milton. John has been guiding others into Nature for over 30 years and is a true spiritual elder. Due to his wealth of knowledge and spontaneous nature, his teachings are shaped by a unique fluidity that accommodates each retreat in a way that is most helpful to the individual and group process of liberation at that time. No two teachings are ever the same.
