Reconnection & Renewal
Kashi Ashram • Sebastian, Florida
March 30th - April 1st, 2018
Once again Kashi Interfaith Spiritual Community is delighted to invite you to a weekend of reconnection and renewal with our friend John P. Milton on the pristine wilderness and sacred grounds of Kashi Ashram in Sebastian Florida. This year John will focus on Spiritual Activism, given the concerns many of us have about the environmental and political threats. Spiritual practice leas to activism, as in John's 12th Principle of Natural Liberation "Warrior of the Opened, Unconditional Loving Heart" and Ma Jaya's great teaching that "it's not about me". John has been an environmental activist at least since 1963 when he walked across the Brooks Range, Alaska, and became the whistle blower that proctected that land from oil development for 25 years. As editor, he published "Future Environments of North America "(1966) and "The Careless Technology" (1969), which lead to his role as Presidential Advisor on the Environment for Presidents Johnson and Nixon. In those works he predicted the devastating "super storms" if the governments did not change. As we know, they did not. After 20 years as a government consultant and professor, he realized it was more effetive to take those of us who heard the Call into Sacred Nature, allowing us to deeply reconnect experientially with Mother Earth and become the sacred activists needed for awareness and change in these times. John will not only be drawing on his environmental background, he will also be bringing in his deep training and practices in Zen Buddhism, T'ai Chi and Taoism, Vendanta, Tibetan Buddhism and Shamanism into this program.
John's teaching at Kashi Ashram, www.kashi.org, will be followed by his sharing in Nassau, Bahamas at the Sivananda Ashram, https://www.sivanandabahamas.org/course/the-way-of-nature-april-2018/ .The expanding international community of Way of Nature (WoN) (www.wayofnature.com) that has evolved from John's teachings is an exciting adventure using the best of social media integrated with regular practice and trainings in pristine Nature throughout the world.
Come for a weekend away from the distractions of busyness. Enjoy the grace and kindness of the community who will serve you at Kashi. Immerse yourself in community life without having to leave the grounds for the weekend, enjoying time on the Sebastian River, communal meals in the Laxman House dining room, sunrise yoga on the dock of the Ganga or a Fire Ceremony by the Baba Temple. Allow yourself this opportunity to be challenged, inspired and delighted by the teachings and stories of one of our rare living Sage/Activists.

In these days when many of us discuss income inequality, we once again struggle with how to charge a fair price to make this program available to all while honoring a holy person. True to the shamanic tradition, John has never asked for a fee for these weekend workshops, instead simply acccepting what we've been able to raise. At age 79,(80 in Chinese years) we want our Kashi community to send him on his way with our financial blessing. Therefore we leave it up to you to decide what you can afford in your honest budget, ranging from $504, $405, $306, $207, or $108. Remember, you are the one receiving the Blessings!
